Not patchwork related!!

 This is what I nearly walked into when out pest monitoring yesterday!! These naughty bees have left home and made themselves a new nest in one of our young avocados.'


Isn't this lovely, a nearly black iris. Even after living here for 3 years we are discovering new plants 'popping' up.

    Oh wow, look at all the bees! Love, love the iris, could I pretty please have a piece oneday? Iris are my fav flower

      Of course you can have a cutting Leeanne. I am only too happy to share. Now I have to remember a rose for Raewyn and an iris for you come Autumn!!

    Your iris is a lovely colour Barb. That's one of the fun things about moving house - seeing what comes up!!
