Ready for Reotahi

My retreat seat is finished so I am going to be very comfortable as I sew at Reotahi. I have also just finished cutting out the quilt I am going to work on so I am all set to go!! It is amazing what can be acheived when one gets a couple of hours of uninterupted time to oneself. Now I just have to get my block holder made so I have something special to put my blocks in as I finish them at retreat. Wonder how far I will get with the quilt during retreat?

A gift finish achieved

Don't think I can claim this as my first christmas gift of the year, but I have managed to get this little cutie finished for a new baby in between looking after 10 house guests this Easter weekend!!

Apple Pie anyone

Just picked the apple on the left. The one on the right is a 'normal' size apple. I think one
apple is all that is required for apple pie tonight! It weighs 1/2 kg.

I bought the tree as the variety name appealed to me - it is a 'Peasgood Nonsuch' an old English heritage apple. Only the English could come up woith a name like that! No offence intended Aurely.
