My scrappy bag

I put this bag together using the left over scraps from a bigger bag I made to take my essential sewing supplies to Taupo.

I used the same basic pattern as Leeanne used for her grandaughter's library bag and it is the perfect size for essentials like the IPad, the library book, a magazine or 2 and most importantly the hat, scarf  gloves and a map book (just so we don't get lost!), I am sure I am going to need at symposium.

This pattern is by Leanne Beasley, it is a great pattern, it could be jazzed up any way you like, I do believe Barbara is doing just that!
The fairy fabric is one I bought a couple of years ago from our lovely fabric rep that comes to the shop.
This is for my granddaughters 6th birthday.
I have been working on 'Raewyn's' wee blocks too & hope to have something to show you at our next get together.

Sewing related but not patchwork

My finish for the day. A full on day of sewing and very happy with the result. Sorry the colour is not the best in the photo. The curtains look a little 'washed out' but you can get the idea. One bedroom down and 2 more to go!! Now back to some more enjoyable sewing, my latest patchwork project, our special 'Raewyn' squares. How are yours going?

Dress up anyone? Went to a 21st with a "M" theme so I was a Medieval Maidenand Ben a Mexican Gangster!!! Hmmmmm was fun! Was trying to get the bottom photo underneath the printing but alas its not working for me. Also dont think they had reading glasses in that era........
